The foundation stone was laid by Lt. Governor Dr. Gopal Singh on 15 September 1985, and the gurudwara was inaugurated by then-President Giani Zail Singh on 18 December 1986

It's one of only two gurudwaras in Goa, serving the Sikh community and visitors from across the region
