Gurudwara Sri Chatti Patshahi Sahib stands near the village of Shadimarg, also called Shah Ji Marg, in Pulwama district. Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji came here during his tour of Kashmir and sat beneath a chinar tree as the sangat gathered for his darshan. When devotees brought a bowl of honey as an offering and a nearby saint, Bhai Katu Shah, asked for a share, the sangat refused him, wanting it kept for Guru Sahib alone — but when the bowl reached Guru Sahib, it was found full of ants. Guru Sahib asked whether anyone had asked for honey along the way, and on hearing what had happened, told the sangat to first offer the honey to Bhai Katu Shah before he would accept it himself.

While Guru Sahib was here, Emperor Jahangir also came to meet him, and the two developed a warm regard for one another, going hunting together. When the emperor grew thirsty during the hunt, Guru Sahib struck the ground nearby with his barcha, and water sprang forth for Jahangir to drink.
