Gurdwara Darshani Deori Sahib
Amritsar
Amritsar  ·  Punjab

Gurdwara Sri Darshani Deori represents the gateway to Amritsar during its infancy built by Sri Guru Arjan Sahib Ji.

As one entered the new habitation of Amritsar through it, paths led to Gurdwara Sri Guru Ka Mehal on the right and Sri Harmandir Sahib on the left.

Gurdwara Sri Darshani Deori was converted into a small gurdwara, it now stands amidst the crowded Bazar Mai Sevan, near its junction with Guru Ka Bazar.

Gurdwara Sri Darshani Deori is left in a neglected state. The Sikhs of Amritsar should take greater care of their amazing and great heritage.

Gurdwara Sri Darshani Deori should not be confused with the 'Darshani Deori' of Sri Harmandir Sahib which stands opposite Sri Akal Takht and is the direct entrance to Sri Harmandir Sahib.
