Joti Jot Diwas of Sri Guru Ram Das Ji

Sri Guru Ram Das Ji (1522–1581) was the Fourth Sikh Guru. He strengthened the institution of Guru Ka Langar, abolishing caste discrimination by requiring all visitors—including Emperor Akbar—to eat together before meeting him. He also constructed the sacred Baoli Sahib at Goindwal and composed the sacred hymn Anand Sahib.
