Gurudwara Sri Mai Bhago Ji Sahib
Village Janwada, Bidar–Degloor Road  ·  Bidar District, Karnataka

Gurudwara Sri Mai Bhago Ji Sahib stands in the village of Janwada in Bidar district, about 15 km from Gurudwara Sri Nanak Jhira Sahib. Mai Bhago Ji had accompanied Guru Gobind Singh Ji after the Battle of Muktsar all the way to Nanded, and after Guru Sahib’s journey to his heavenly abode, she remained at Nanded in meditation.

When Guru Sahib rescued Rustam Rao and Bala Rao of Janwada from Satara Fort, the two came to Nanded and told the Singhs the story of Guru Sahib’s help. After staying at Nanded for a time, they wished to return home to Janwada and asked the Singhs for an escort against future danger — but none of the Sikhs present were willing to leave Sachkhand Sahib. Mai Bhago Ji alone agreed to accompany Rustam Rao and Bala Rao to Janwada, where she lived out her life in meditation at their garhi, visiting Gurudwara Sri Nanak Jhira Sahib every single day.
