Guru Gobind Singh Ji, travelling from Punjab towards Nanded, was so struck by the beauty and peace of this place that he stayed for eight days. Word of his presence spread quickly, and the sangat came from far and near for his darshan and blessings before Guru Sahib continued on to Nanded.

Years later, when the site now called Thada Sahib was excavated, a barcha (spear) believed to have belonged to Guru Sahib was discovered there and is preserved to this day.
