• A trader, Baba Makhan Shah Lubana, tested them by offering 2 dinars instead of the vowed 500, and only Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji responded with the phrase, “God bless you... why only 2 dinars after pledging 500? A Sikh is expected to keep his pledge to the Guru.” This confirmed his authenticity and led Makhan Shah to shout, “Guru Ladho Re!” (“Found the Guru”) from the rooftop • Guru Tegh Bahadur meditated in concealment underground (in a "bhora") for about 26 years, 9 months, and 13 days before being discovered

The main complex includes four prominent Gurdwaras, each with unique significance: 1.
