Guru Gobind Rai Te Birdh Mata

A Story of Compassion and Respect

Guru Gobind Rai and Birdh Mata

1. Arrival at Patna Sahib

Guru Gobind Rai (young Guru Gobind Singh Ji) was living at Patna Sahib during his early years. Even as a child, he was filled with wisdom, compassion, and divine light.

2. The Visit of Birdh Mata

One day, an old and poor woman named Birdh Mata came to meet young Gobind Rai. She had heard that the child Guru was no ordinary boy. With great love, she brought a simple gift โ€“ a dry roti (bread) wrapped in cloth.

3. Guru Jiโ€™s Humble Acceptance

When she arrived, the guards and servants mocked her and tried to stop her. But Guru Gobind Rai saw her and immediately stood up to welcome her. He respectfully took the dry roti with great joy and said, โ€œThis is the sweetest offering I have received.โ€

4. A Divine Blessing

Guru Ji not only accepted her offering but also honored her in front of the Sangat. He reminded everyone that Waheguru sees the love behind every gift, not the size or wealth of it.

๐Ÿ’ก The Message

๐Ÿ“š Moral of the Story:
