Gurudwara Sri Charan Kamal Sahib stands in the village of Jaisinghpura, on the outskirts of Burhanpur city. Guru Gobind Singh Ji came here on his journey from Agra, Chittorgarh, and Ujjain, and from this place blessed the sangat travelling with him and sent them back to Punjab.
It was here that Guru Sahib appointed Jathedars to look after Takht Sri Anandpur Sahib, Sri Damdama Sahib, Sri Patna Sahib, and Sri Amritsar Sahib, and sent Mata Sundari Ji, accompanied by Bhai Mani Singh Ji, on to Delhi. Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Ji, of the family of Baba Budha Ji Sahib, also returned to Punjab from this place.
