In 1705, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji visited the village of Dina on his way to Muktsar Sahib.

Guru Gobind Singh was looked after by Chaudharis, Lakmir and Shamir, grandsons of Rai Jodh, a devoted Sikh of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, with great respect.

Guru Gobind Singh discarded his blue dress of Uch Da Pir here. Guru Gobind Singh stayed here at Dina for 3 months and 13 days.

When Wazir Khan, the barbaric child killer and Nawab of Sirhind, heard that Guru Gobind Singh was here, he directed the Chaudhary to arrest the Guru and send him to Sirhind.

A man of steadfast faith Shamir, after consulting his brother, wrote back, "Just as you hold your 'Pir' in high respect, we too are dedicated to the service of our Guru. Since he loves all, we cannot carry out your orders."
