Gurudwara Sri Guru Ka Bag Sahib stands in the village of Tanda, near Kicha, at the orchard (bag) that forms part of the same sequence of miracles recounted in full at Gurudwara Sri Nanak Puri Sahib nearby. A merchant who had bought the child Guru Nanak Dev Ji set him to guard the orchard, warning him to keep every bird away from its fruit.
The child Guru replied that so long as he remained inside, every plant in the orchard would wither — a warning the merchant dismissed, until he saw the lush greenery turn dry the moment the child stepped in, and bloom again the instant he stepped back out. Recognising the presence of the Divine before him, the merchant bowed at the child Guru’s feet and gave up the trade in human lives for good.
