Gurudwara Sri Bal Leela Sahib Ji
Maini Sangat, Patna
Patna City  ·  Bihar

Gurudwara Sri Bal Leela Sahib stands just behind Takht Sri Patna Sahib, on the site of the haveli of Raja Fateh Chand Maini. His queen, who had no children of her own, grew deeply fond of young Bal Gobind Rai Ji and often had him come and play in her courtyard. When she spoke of wishing for a son like him, the child Guru told her that he was one of a kind — and, sitting in her lap, declared that from that day he would be remembered as her son, with her name forever linked to his.

Guru Sahib once asked the queen for food, and she served him and his playmates boiled, salted gram — a prasad still offered at this Gurudwara today. He also blessed the site, saying that no pilgrimage to Patna Sahib would be complete without a visit here.
