Gurudwara Sri Dashmesh Asthan Sahib stands in the middle of Nahan city, Sirmaur district. Guru Gobind Singh Ji accepted an invitation from Raja Medni Prakash of Nahan and stayed here for almost eight months, before moving on to Paonta Sahib, where he would remain for four and a half years.

When Guru Sahib was leaving Nahan, Raja Medni Prakash hoped for a keepsake of his visit, and Guru Sahib gave him his own sword, the Sri Sahib — still kept by the Raja’s family to this day.
