Village Bhangani, Paonta Sahib  ·  Sirmaur District, Himachal Pradesh

Gurudwara Sri Bhangani Sahib stands in Bhangani village, Paonta Sahib tehsil, Sirmaur district, on the right bank of the River Yamuna. It marks the site of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s first battle: when Raja Bhim Chand of Kehlur, angered by Guru Sahib’s refusal to hand over a trained elephant, marched against Paonta Sahib with an alliance of hill rajas, Guru Sahib moved forward to meet them at Bhangani, directing the battle from the height now marked by Gurudwara Sri Teer Garhi Sahib nearby.
