Gurudwara Sri Nanaksar Sahib stands on the outskirts of Nanded, about 6 km from Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib. Guru Nanak Dev Ji halted here under a Beri tree for nine days and nine gharis on his way to Bidar. When Bhai Mardana Ji told Guru Sahib of a shortage of water, Guru Sahib asked him to play the rabab, and as he played, a spring of water rose from the ground.
Bhai Mardana Ji, drinking the water, remarked on its sweetness, and Guru Sahib explained that the place belonged to the devtas, which was why the water tasted so pure. A man suffering from a long illness then came seeking relief, and when Guru Sahib had him bathe in that spring, he was cured completely and fell at Guru Sahib’s feet in gratitude.
