Gurudwara Sri Sangat Sahib
Nanded City  ·  Nanded District, Maharashtra

Gurudwara Sri Sangat Sahib stands in Nanded city. Returning from Gurudwara Sri Heera Ghaat Sahib, Guru Gobind Singh Ji stopped here when his soldiers asked for their wages before returning home. Guru Sahib sent Bhai Dharam Singh Ji and Bhai Daya Singh Ji, two of the Panj Pyare, to dig up the treasure buried since Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s time at the site of Gurudwara Sri Maaltekri Sahib.

The two Pyare brought the treasure back on bullock carts, and Guru Sahib distributed it generously by the shieldful among his own army and Bahadur Shah’s forces alike. The very shield (dhaal) used to measure out the treasure is still preserved at this Gurudwara.
