Gurudwara Sri Ratangarh Sahib stands on the Ratnagiri hills, about thirteen kilometres south of Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib. After Guru Gobind Singh Ji left this world, the Khalsa were deeply grieved and felt without direction. Tradition holds that Guru Sahib later appeared here with his horse and eagle to a saint who lived at this spot, and asked him to carry a message to Sachkhand: "Do not worry; I will always be with you," urging the Khalsa to hold to kirtan and the jaap of Satnam.
The saint carried this message to the Khalsa as instructed, and when the sangat found that Guru Sahib’s horse and eagle were indeed absent from the stable, they placed their faith in what he had conveyed.
