Gurudwara Sri Dhodh Wala Khooh Sahib (the Gurudwara of the Well of Milk) stands close to the main shrine at Nanakmatta, beside the well upon which Guru Nanak Dev Ji once sat. When the Sidh yogis used their powers to dry up the milk of every cow and buffalo in the area and then asked Guru Sahib to provide them milk instead, Guru Sahib had Bhai Mardana Ji draw a bowl of milk straight from this well.
The Sidhs drank from the bowl to their heart’s content, yet found it still full every time they looked, and on peering into the well itself found it brimming with milk. Humbled, they bowed before Guru Sahib. It is said that devotees who bathe at this well are blessed with children.
