Gurudwara Sri Almast Sahib stands in the village of Nanakmatta, marking the spot where Baba Almast Ji lived in continuous meditation while devotedly caring for the sacred place of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Even amid repeated harassment from the Sidh yogis who claimed the area for themselves, Baba Almast Ji’s faith never wavered, and it was his call for help that later brought Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji here to restore the site.
