Gurdwara Sri Patshahi Nauvin stands at the village of Dhilwan in the Barnala district, and commemorates the visit of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji during the ninth Guru’s travels through Malwa.
Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji spent the years before the martyrdom at Delhi journeying through this country, village by village, holding diwan and teaching the sangat wherever a household would receive him. Dhilwan is one of the many villages of the Barnala district that keeps the memory of those journeys, and a second historic shrine, Gurdwara Sri Kailon Sahib, stands here as well.
The detailed history of the shrine is recorded on the information board maintained at the Gurdwara.
